If you have not picked up your ribbons from either the A or B Meet (or the ribbons in your folder from prior meets), please contact Lorrie or Lonn Hiler at 365-2646. The tubs are at their house and can be picked up in the next week or two. Their address is 2134 Audley Drive, near the High School. If you do not pick up your ribbons in the next couple of weeks, the stickers will be removed and the ribbons will be restocked for use next year.
Thanks for a great season this year! We are proud of the accomplishments of all our swimmers!

A Note From The Coaches to the Swimmers:
All of you did an excellent job at the meet. You cleaned up in the awards, and the Coaches want you to know that you left everything in the pool. Swimmers were killing their best times! Although we had a few DQs, those swimmers can still be proud of their accomplishments. In some cases, those swimmers got their best times in those events. As coaches, we will work even harder to prepare you to avoid DQs in the future. We were proud to stand on that Deck and watch all of you nail your best times of the season. This was the most hardware (medals) we have brought home from a B Meet that we can recall since being a part of coaching here at Northview.

Congratulations, swimmers! We won the meet this past Saturday. More important than winning the meet is seeing our swimmers continue to improve week-to-week. 58 swimmers improved their times in 78 events!
Here’s a bit of trivia… altogether, our swimmers have improved a total of 1,572.38 seconds (or 26.2 hours) this season. In other words, we are just over a day quicker than we were at the start of the season.
Another 4 swimmers qualified for the A Meet (remember, 13-14 year olds are already qualified due to their age) for a total of 21.

Thanks to all the volunteers who helped at the meet! Many new people contributed their time (and sweat!) to run the meet. Thanks also to all the parents who donated items to concessions. It takes everyone to keep NCST going!

This is our highest number of 1st place relay finishes and total number of places this year.
Individuals
1st: 14
2nd: 25

While not our highest number of 1st place finishes, this is the highest combined 1st and 2nd place finishes this year. This is also highest total of first-fifth places this year (24 more places than our prior best). Way to go!!!
Improved Times
Total number of swimmers who improved this week: 63
Total number of events: 80
This is our highest number of swimmers that improved so far (10 more than our last high)!!!!!
Gators won the meet, but things in the water are definitely going the right direction. Great job Jeff C. and Seth and Jeff E.!!!!!!

Our swimmers continue to improve! Here are the stats for this week:
Individual 1st place finishes: 23
Individual 2nd place finishes: 7
Individual 3rd place finishes: 15
Individual 4th place finishes: 13
Individual 5th place finishes: 7
Our 1st place finishes jumped from 15 at Kentwood to 23!!!
Relay 1st place finishes: 3
Relay 2nd place finishes: 7
Relay 3rd place finishes: 4
The number of swimmers who improved their best times: 53 (not counting those without prior times)
Those swimmers improved in a total 70 events (i.e., several individual improved in more than one event).
This is 8 more swimmers receiving an improved time than last week!

Our swimmers did a great job at our first meet this past Saturday! While Kentwood won the overall meet, our swimmers were successful in several key categories:
Individual 1st place finishes: 15
Individual 2nd place finishes: 14
Individual 3rd place finishes: 14
Individual 4th place finishes: 13
Individual 5th place finishes: 15
Relay 1st place finishes: 5
Relay 2nd place finishes: 5
Relay 3rd place finishes: 5
Number of swimmers who improved their best times: 45 (not counting those without prior times)
These swimmers improved in a total 68 events (i.e., several individual improved in more than one event).
